My local supermarket is selling Israeli produce – is yours?

A fellow boycotter shows a simple and effective method of direct action.

  1. They popped into their local Asda this evening, certain that the store is selling a variety of Israeli products grown on occupied Palestinian land.
  2. They pick up a basket, and head to the fruit and veg section of the store. There they inspect the labels on each of the fresh produce, looking for the country of origin; anything labelled Israel or West Bank is placed in the basket.
  3. When the basket is filled to the brim, they simply leave it in another part of the store. The theory is if the products are not on the shelf they can’t be bought by unsuspecting shoppers, indirectly funding massacres being carried out in Palestine.

Please note, the products should not be sold in the stores in the first instance, as they are likely to be breaking the law by selling goods produced in Israeli settlements which are illegal under international law. They may also be profiting from the fruit and veg planted by palestinians. Please avoid funding the terrorist entity known as Israel and share pics of your mini protest!

    1. have you all gone mad? sorry but on youtube and other sites i could have sworn i saw and read about little children being killed by palestine bombs. must be true musnt it? i mean 2 sides means bombs going back and forth. is this our war ? no ,not unless you lot make it our war as you already have. why support hamas ruling palestine? whats wrong with lsrael? israel-the ones that wanted to extend the cease fire while palestine said no and couldnt wait to start bombing again. who dropped leaflets to warn palestinians to stay away from certain areas they were going to bomb? who stopped the people from escaping by beating them so they dieds in the bombing? who killed al those little children by making them build thier tunnels under israel ? who are the ones that need stopping ? are you all the pc brigade or the little house wife at home who thinks pulling israei products of the shelves or “swopping” labels is great “fun”. what a load of clueless airheads you are. muslim louts are taking to the streets in our country, france, italy, germany. canada , america, australia, spain etc etc etc beating up jewish people because of this war, next will be the christians , although some other countries are well into that already. try looking on youtube- muslim attacks on jews in france ,or any country you want to type in . or muslim hate preachers in britain , israels victims in this war. listen to thier pm saying he wants a ceasefire to stop the bombing . theres so many if you want to understand whats happening there and here . this is support for muslims , not palestine and as your supporting palestine your also supporting terrorists ,and hate for the jewish and christian people , not forgetting non muslims and the remaining muslims that have not yet had the radicals get to them . go back to your ironing and leave the labels on the products . if you look up you will see israel isnt just about food on shelves . some of thier goods even you couldnt do without.

      1. Casey, you’re an idiot.

There are Christian Palestinians. Israel treats them the same – they aren’t part of God’s chosen race either.

Jesus would be horrified that you are siding with a regime that oppresses Christians, and denies them rights by virtue of their race.

      2. Please remember to also boycott all the medicines, and medical machinery, and doctors from Israel. Oh, and the technology you are using right now.
Honestly this group is just about as hypocritical as they come. However I do appreciate the list of items I will be buying in bulk.

        1. That would be because you and all others supporting such notion are idiots!!

This issue has nothing to do with religion. It’s about humanity, which you and others like you clearly do not have. It would be interesting to see the look on your faces if someone killed your children and loved ones. You disgust me!

          1. My whole family were wiped out by your Arab-Muslims.
We the Jews of the Arab world numbered just over one million,
today there is bare 5,000 Jews left who mainly live in Morocco and Tunisia. We the Jews made stateless refugees from the Arab world in the late 1940s almost outnumbered your Palestinian Arab refugees by two to one. Wheres your concern for the 250,000 Syrians killed in the ongoing Syrian civil war, where is your concern for the and Christian Arabs who have lived in that part of the world some 700 years before the dawning of Islam, as well as other minority groups such as the Yazidis and Mandeans who were in that area some 1000s of years before the introduction of Islam. 20% of Israel’s population are made up from Arabs, both Christian and Muslim, who infact enjoy a much better life with more freedom than any of the other 22 Arab states. Ethnic cleansing was applied to the Jews of the Arab world, but not in Israel. By agreeing to the boycotting of Israeli merchandise from British Shops you have crossed the line of Jew-hate, will you now go further and demonstrate outside all Jewish owned shops not to stock up with Israel produced food etc.?

      3. Your rant shows how ignorant you are. The mainstream news BBC, CNN etc are biased incase you haven’t picked up by the way they report. In regards to your comment about rockets going back and forth by Hammas is the consequence of the illegal israeli occupation. If having being kicked off their land and out of their homes wasn’t enough for the Palestinians, there lively hoods are stolen by the illegal settlers who set fire to olive trees, burn farms, steal cattle from the shepherds just to mention but a few atrocities and all whilst the israeli army stands by and watches. If Palestinians raise their voices against the illegal settlers they are beaten, killed or at best imprisoned. Would you sit back and watch if you were faced with this. When Hammas fight against this they become the terrorists and Israel the victim. Ironic how ignorant people like you class the perpetrators of crime as victims. So Simon get your facts right commenting and look beyond the BBC, CNN and other mainstream news channels to get these facts.

      4. Samir where do you get your information from. Don’t tell me it’s from the jew run media. Please look into it, do some real research and find out for yourself. The media is making you and a lot of other people into fools. They tell you what they want you to think, not the truth. The Palestinians are being persecuted by the Israel’s and they have no way to retaliate, they don’t have the means to stand up to a nuclear state. They have no army, air force, navy and they don’t have weapons to fight with. They bombs are even home made, that’s if you can call them bombs. The Israel’s are killing innocent children, women and men, for no reason other than Genocide and their land.

    2. Why not let people decide whether or not they want to buy Israeli products, or does that not suit how this organisation works. You are with us or against us seems to be your motto. This is a free democratic society. People are allowed to do what they want. DO NOT BE BULLIED BY THE JEW HATING IGNORANTS ON THIS WEBSITE, THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN THE TERRORISTS THEY LEGITIMISE.

  1. Try removing price labels from shelves where products are not individually priced. People will be put off from buying if they are not sure of the cost.

    1. Fantastic!!! Someone who talks sense. It seems to be forgotten the bombs go two ways !!! How thick can some people be!! They should go get a job and look after themselves. While we are all working the pc airhead brigade are taking over. IDIOTS!!!

    2. Why don’t u get a bag for Life and an energy saving light bulb and you can stop global warming!! Could you leave the products close th the checkouts to save me time on my shopping!! U are so funny lol lol lol.

  2. We’ll done!!! There are a lot of beauty products that should be boycotted also like loreal, sanex, Lancôme, revlon and garnier etc

    1. ive never heard such a load of a
irheaded comments and ideas in my life . go back to being the dutiful housewives.

  3. Asda are now concealing the country of origin on many of it’s own brand products. With either no country of origin for the product but a packed in the UK label. Or product of various countries.
For example last week Asda Rocket Salad labelled Israel. This week Asda Rocket Salad labeled Product Various Countries.

    1. ASDA selling Mango, figs & pomegranate from Israel and Morris ons selling plums from Israel . But shouldn’t we boycotting Ehyption & US products as they form the triumvirate ;2 blockade,1 invades and the other funds the carnage

  4. Do we know if any of the UK supermarkets are boycotting or not. If so can you name and shame in order for shoppers to contact them.

    1. I believe the CO-OP is the only british supermarket to not stock products grown in the occupied areas of Palestine

      1. Slightly more than that. The CRTG (Co-operative Retail Trading Group) – the organisation that buys for and distributes the produce in all the different retail Co-operative societies in Britain – also refuses to do any business at all with companies that have operations in or profit from the occupied territories.

  5. Thanks David, the CO-OP is the place for me from now on until I get definitive statement for Tesco, Asda, Sainburys etc that they will not stock goods from Israel and the occupied palestinian lands.

  6. May be an idea if everyone can cancel their supermarket store cards by calling their customer services respectively or emailing. Detailing why they have taken this ethical stance; citing support of the protest against Israeli human rights atrocities & violation of international law in occupied territories.

    1. I have cancelled Tesco credit card.Spent quite a bit first so that they knew they were not losing a flimsy account and would feelit more. Also told them I had been going to open current account which would now not be happening.Returned my club card points and suggested they give them to Netanyahu

    2. I cancelled Tesco credit card & returned club card points to Tesco’s head of banking, they keep coming I keep returning them.On sale today in Aldi is Evian bottled water. I’m wondering if major suprrmarkets are selling Israeli brands on? Also bought dates just after Christmas with reduced label being carefully placed over area of label that said”Produce of Israel.Packed in the West Bank (Israeli settlement) unsurprisingly they were from Tesco.Despite Tesco saying they were not selling produce from West bank Jewish settlements I wonder if they just move them out to rural areas, as where I live

  7. well done guys the only way to defeat the racist terrorist is to boycott their products and the next step we need is to unite internationally. Unity is key

  8. Dont forget the Hummous aisle – SABRA humous
and the cosmetics aisle – ANYTHING with DEAD SEA SALT from Israel/West Bank (Occupied Palesinian Territory)

We can inconvenience those who are profiting off occupation

    1. Holiday season I tend to use face wipes and or baby wipes on journeys …..took me ages to find some not made in Israel ….morrisons home brand are made in eu

  9. I’ve personally been asking all my friends to take part in a #BASKETBOYCOTT of Israeli goods since seeing this post. I have loads of pics from my weekend boycott at Sainsburys.

Please remember to share your pics with all your friends and networks and use the hash tag #BASKETBOYCOTT to increase visibility.

Here are the items we found:

    – medjool dates
    – Indian mango – produce of Israel (how ironic)
    – Dragon fruit
    – lychees
    – figs
    – herbs such as rosemary, tarragon, sage, parsely, thyme & chillis
    – ‘sabra’ hommus
    – ‘dead sea salt’ cosmetic / health products
    – miscellaneous produce in the kosher food aisle from Israel
    – frozen kosher food from Israel
    – wine from Israel (occupied Golan heights)

Part One – Technology and Food First, remove all Intel Pentium and Celeron computer processor chips from personal computers (desktops, laptops and notebooks) as these were either developed or manufactured in Israel. Note that the revolutionary new Ivy Bridge processor will be manufactured in Israel. Any computers running the Windows XT operating system must be turned off immediately as this was developed in Israel. All current Microsoft operating systems are not to be used as Microsoft is heavily reliant on its Israel R&D centre. Step 2. Any computers that still work need to have their anti-virus software and personal firewalls removed as this technology originated in Israel. The organisation’s firewall will also need to be switched off. Staff should no longer open external emails as most of these will be infected with viruses. No outgoing emails can be sent. The algorithm (code) that’s used today for sending e-mails, was made by an Israeli who worked at the Ben-Gurion University in Be’er-Sheva in 1980. Step 3. Discard all mobile phones, as this technology was developed in Israel, where the first mobile phones were manufactured. Mobile chip technology from a single Israeli company has now been installed in over 100 million devices. Only top-level staff may retain mobile phones for emergency situations. However the use of SMS (Texting) is expressly forbidden as this facility was developed in Israel. No 4G devices can be used, as the chipset is Israeli. Step 4. Turn off your voice-mail service and delete any recorded messages. Israeli companies invented the voice-mail system. If someone you do not know answers your phone-call, then hang up. Israeli call-centres and call-centre technology is in widespread operation in the UK. Step 5. Before accepting any printed material, check that the supplier has not used the Israeli device that might have saved up to 50% of the ink used. Step 6. At home, do not use Facebook as many in-built and add-on applications are Israeli-developed. Do not watch videos on the Internet as the platform used to upload them may be from AOL and hence from an Israeli company. Do not use the Internet to search for answers to your questions as this may involve use of an Israeli-developed search engine. Better to remain unenlightened. Step 7. On your TV or home entertainment centre, do not use Video On Demand (VOD) to watch movies as you may inadvertently see an advert displayed usingIsraeli software. Do not purchase any games devices as these are likely to use Israeli technology. Step 8. Do not read books using an e-book as this may contain Israeli technology. Do not use data storage as it may have been developed at Israel’s storage technology R&D center. Step 9. Do not buy an electric car as it is likely to be powered with an Israeli battery or use Israeli developed charging mats. Continue to sit in traffic knowing that you are polluting the environment and financing oil-rich despotic regimes. Turning to food and drink, all food outlets on the organisation’s premises must dispose of cherry tomatoes, which were developed in Israel. Staff must ensure that no cherry tomatoes are included in sandwiches brought into office premises. The ban also applies to honey and any products derived from honey. Israel has developed solutions to the worldwide problem of bee-colony collapse, so that any products derived from bees might only be available now due to an Israeli invention. Avoid drinking any of the world-recognised award-winning Israeli wines. Do not consume homemade drinks from Israeli-manufactured household drinks machines. Avoid any fruit from South Africa or Peru as produce from these countries is being marketed with Israeli brand names. No agricultural products from the following areas must be consumed as they use water irrigation and agricultural technology provided directly from Israel. This includes most of Africa, China, India, Indonesia (a Muslim country), Nepal and many others. Much fruit and vegetables (including organic) imported into the UK has been enhanced using Israeli technology. This may save millions of people from starving around the world, but is not a good reason for you to eat it. To be safe, only eat fruit and vegetables that you have grown yourself using seeds that have been in your family for generations. Part Two – Staff Health. Destroy all personal medication. Israel’s Teva Pharmaceuticals, the largest generic drugs company in the world, will have manufactured many of your medicines. Staff with the following illnesses will need to take specific precautions. Cancer – do not take any form of medication or treatment. Israeli scientists have been working at the forefront of oncology for decades. AIDS and HIV – beware; researchers at Israel’s Weizmann Institute or Hebrew University developed or improved AZT and Hypericin-based drugs; they have also developed a treatment that destroys HIV-infected cells without damaging healthy ones. Diabetes – do not measure or inject Insulin using the devices developed by Israeli scientists. Multiple Sclerosis – stop taking Copaxone, one of the most efficient medicines and the only non-interferon agent, as Teva developed it. Don’t touch Laquinimodeither. Parkinson’s – remove the Israel-pioneered brain pacemaker to stop tremors. Discontinue Levodopa, which reduces motor disturbances. Cease sessions that involve magnetic cortex stimulation. Staff with a family history of heart disease and arteriosclerosis must not use the Israeli device for early detection of these. Rather, wait until onset of the disease. Epileptics – stop treatment that may have benefited from the Israeli discovery of the underlying mutant gene; also throw away the bracelet that sends out an alert when a person goes into seizure. Staff or relatives with Age-related Macular Degeneration – remove Israeli implantsthat arrest the disease. Liver disease – abandon Israeli-developed antibody immunotherapy treatments. Emphysema – steer clear of the Israeli protein replacement therapy. Myeloma – stop taking the drug Velcade, which was developed over a period of 30 years by scientists at Haifa. Sleep apnea – no tests using the breakthrough Israeli device for diagnosis. Dyslexics must not benefit from the Israeli Internet-based reading system. Skin allergies must be treated with steroid creams only, as the new safer non-steroid alternative is Israeli. Any incident of stroke or head trauma or onset of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, MS, epilepsy, glaucoma or brain tumor must avoid using any of the Weizmann Institute’s patented methods of treatment. Before any surgery or medical tests, check that hospital catheters have not been protected from infection using the new plastic from Israel that disables microorganisms. Avoid throat surgery as this may utilize Israeli surgical lasers. Ensure any colonoscopy or gastro investigation does not use internal Israeli cameras such as the Pillcam. Never undergo surgery to install an artificial heart, as the first artificial heart transplant took place in Israel. Kidney transplant patients must wait for donors of the same blood group as only Israel’s revolutionary new methods allow donors from other blood groups. Staff of Arab origin must not make use of the only database for matching potential Arab donors of bone-marrow – in Israel. In the event of a spinal injury or disease, do not accept spinal implants – likely to be an Israeli product or development. Heart rhythm problems must not be solved with the Israeli-developed heart pulse generator. All heart stents are off-limits as most of these originate from Israeli medical companies. Check all vaccines as many of these have been developed in Israel. Ensure that all X-rays do carry a radiation risk, as the only radiation-free system is Israeli. Treatments derived from Stem Cell research must be avoided as most of theseare Israeli-developed. If you or your family are struck with a bacterial infection, do not take alternatives to older, ineffective bacteria-resistant antibiotics, as an Israeli discovery will have been responsible for the modern, effective drugs. Check that any pain relief medication is not based on soya as an Israeli doctor discovered the beneficial effect of the soya bean. Do not use the revolutionary new Israeli bandage that saved the life of Arizona senator Gabriella Giffords after she was shot in the head. If you break a bone badly, reject any treatment that involves introducing collagen, as this may have been manufactured from Israeli plants. Do not protect babies and infants from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome with the Babysense system from Israel. Do not use Epilady (or epilator) – two Israelis invented this hair removal device. Finally, reject all major dental treatment, as your teeth may need to be scanned with an Israeli-developed dental scanner. Part Three – Dealing with People. When interviewing prospective new staff or holding meetings with members of the public or with individuals from other companies, it is vital that you check whether they originate from, or are associated with the following countries and areas. You must ensure that you do not have any contact with people who have benefited from Israel’s aid to those countries. The organization must avoid any possible acknowledgment of Israel’s contribution to world relief. In addition, you must obtain a formal statement from the government of these countries that Israeli aid was not responsible for the production or development of any goods and services supplied to the organization. These locations include: Japan (As well as rescue teams, Israel supplied Geiger counters and Israeli thermal imaging cameras are monitoring the reactor cores – Mar 2011) Ghana (has been receiving technological aid from Israel since 2006; Israel is now providing neonatal units to save many of the 4,800 babies that die each year – Mar 2011) New Zealand (Israel sent several rescue teams, temporary shelters and water purification systems following the Christchurch earthquake in Feb 2011) Chile, whose rescued miners were treated to a tour of Israel as part of their “Pilgrimage of Thanks” (Feb 2011) Vietnam, whose milk industry is being totally transformed using high-yield Israeli cows (Feb 2011) Uganda (Israeli solar-powered refrigerators were provided to store v1accines used to eliminate an outbreak of Polio from the country in Jan 2011) Kenya (Israel’s Agency for International Development built a state-of-the-art Emergency Room in a hospital serving 6 million Kenyans in Jan 2011) The Maldives (although non-Islamic worship is banned here, Israeli eye-doctors performed free operations for citizens in Dec 2010) Philippines (signed major trade agreement with Israel in Nov 2010) Romania (Israeli doctors treated babies following fire at a neonatal unit – Sep 2010) Cameroon (Ophthalmologists from Haifa restored vision to patients and trained local medical teams in these procedures – Aug 2010) The Congo (Israel were the first burn specialists on the scene following the oil tanker fire disaster in July 2010) Angola (mines cleared by Israeli technology – July 2010) Mississippi (bio-remediation technique used to clean up after oil spills was developed in Israel) China (a major purchaser of Israeli technology, and recipient of medical aid andtraining) South Africa (Israelis trained their doctors to perform circumcisions to prevent the spread of AIDS – July 2010) Haiti (Israel set-up the largest field hospital to treat victims of the 2010 earthquake, the hurricane and the cholera outbreaks and provided vital assistance for over a year) Sri Lanka (Israel conducted a massive airlift with food, 50 medical staff and rescue teams only 48 hours after the Tsunami in Dec 2004) India (Israel sent an fully-equipped field hospital following Gujarat earthquake in Feb 2001) El Salvador (Israel relief aid following earthquake in 2001) Georgia (Israel contributed food and seeds for farmers following severe drought in 2001) Turkey (Israel relief aid following earthquake in 2000) Mozambique ((Israel relief aid following floods in 2000) Colombia (Israel sent medical aid and food following earthquake in 1999) Venezuela (President Chavez has forgotten Israel’s aid following floods of 1999) Central America (Israel sent emergency medical aid teams and equipment to help victims of Hurricane Mitch in 1998) Pakistan (2005) and Peru (2007) both accepted aid from Israeli NGOs following earthquake disasters. Peru’s hydro-electric power plants are also being built and run by an Israeli company. Rawanda, Mexico, Chad, Sudan (Darfur) and Malawi all have received humanitarian aid from Israel, including medical assistance from Israel’s NGOIsraAID. Always remember that the boycott extends to any individuals from the above regions that have been exposed to Israeli assistance during the 63 years existence of the current Jewish State. Part Four – Other Impacts. -Reject all products from the USA. Analysis conducted in a typical US state shows that Israeli innovations were responsible for $2.4 billion in direct revenue to that state’s economy in 2009 and generated nearly 6,000 jobs. -Do not tutor your children in advanced Mathematics techniques, which may have originated in Israel. Also, if these techniques are used in your children’s schools, withdraw your children immediately. -Keen ornithologists should consider giving up their hobby as many rare speciesstop off or reside in Israel during their twice-yearly migration. -Do not watch the new series of NCIS as one of the actresses is Israeli. -Avoid going to any football matches featuring teams with Israeli players. -Destroy all your recordings of Madonna, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Deep Purple, Bon Jovie, Justin Bieber, George Benson, Moby and many, many more artists who have ridiculed the illogical boycott and have proudly performed (or will shortly perform) concerts in Israel. -Destroy any recordings of U2, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Beck, Rihanna Coldplay and any artist whose music has been recorded using the sound technology of the Grammy Award winning Israeli company Wave Audio. You also must get rid of any personal copies of Shrek, American Beauty and Star Wars. Do not trust anything recorded by Sony, JVC, Toshiba or Dell. -Don’t go to see The Black Swan with Natalie Portman, or watch any old films withElizabeth Taylor – both lovers of the Jewish State. -Do not stay in hotels or visit shopping centers owned by Israeli companies (sorry, you will need to check which ones yourself). -Do not have anything to do with the banks who are using Israeli software to prevent fraud. -Do not use any credit or debit card as the Security monitoring system used by the credit card companies is likely to be Israeli. -Do not buy an engagement ring containing a diamond as it is possible that this may have been cut in Israel. -Do not travel by air, as your plane might get towed by the Israeli-built “Taxibot.” -Do not use public transport inside Amsterdam, Moscow or Northern China in case you benefit from Israeli transportation devices. -If you suffer a power or network failure, be grateful that at least you haven’t installed the Israeli system that prevents power outages. -Finally, you need to leave all your taps running when you leave home and must never flush your toilet, because Israel provides water-saving technology to overhalf of the planet. It also is providing sewage treatment technology across the world, including to the UK. It should be obvious by now that all the measures specified in Parts 1 – 4 of this series of blogs will inevitably mean that your organization and your staff will be completely unable to function. Let’s therefore hope that the decision by your organization to boycott Israeli products is flushed down the toilet of history

    1. You get this kind of chauvinism all the time from pro Netanyahu techno geeks, whose logic is that if Israel invented something and we use it then we have to support the official Israeli line. Some of them work 4 facebook.I live in a Western so called democracy not North Korea.

    2. Thank Paulo and those of same ilk who have commented here – it is this bigoted arrogance with not the slightest hint of regret for the death of Palestinian civilians that just confirms for others that Israel has finally exhausted its sympathies from the world for the appalling holocaust by the Nazi’s – what in some ways makes this worse is that of all peoples the Israeli’s should understand what is wrong about treating another race as sub-human – instead they behave like fascists themselves – they are after all the chosen race – where did we hear that argument that this justifies unlimited violence? The cry of “your just anti-Semitic” is not working anymore.

    3. It’s worth pointing out one doesn’t need to boycott EVERYTHING Israeli in order to have an effect. In powerful systems small changes can have a very great effect.

  11. Even if you don’t but Israeli produce for are still funding shops who are funding Israel. We should stop using the shops full stop, this will shock them into boycotting Israel.

  12. Paulo well done for the copy paste job. You can claim your payment from Netanyahu for the propaganda posting that they pay for. Targeted boycott is effective. Especially the products that are entirely produced or sold on behalf of Israel. Look what happened to sodastream.

You zionists are a disgrace to the innocent Jewish people who underwent the genocide. Instead you made yourselves nothing less than Hitlers regime and history will draw parallels between Hitler, the African apartheid and the hypocritical Zionist state.

Back to effective boycotting: the sun released an article of the disgust the Irish tesco has shown towards Zionist massacring of Palestinian civilians and have decided to stop selling illegal settlement goods from Israel and will be following suit in UK stores.

Rather than stopping to shop at these supermarkets we need to let them know what we think and tell them to stop selling Israel produce

Sign AVAAZ petition to call on key financiers in Israel to stop investing/funding Israel and pass on please.

  13. Genuine question:
I support the principle of a boycot on Israel and Israeli products, but tbh I’d be more minded to accept prodcuts that are labelled as having been produced in the West Bank. At least these will result in the employment of palestinians, which must be a good thing.
Anything labelled as Israeli will eitehr be Israeli, or the unacknowledged fruits of Palestinian labour – bad on both counts, so I would avoid.
Anything that brings Palestinian products into the marketplace has to be positive for the locals. No?

  14. Well done Paulo. To those who think they will harm Israel by not buying Israeli products, fruit, veg etc., you are becoming a laughing stock .That’s the view of GMP when M and S was over – run by a flash mob waving flags .No body will pay any attention to your rants .Witness the removal of the Palestinian flag from Preston Town Hall.

  15. How do I know if my local asda in Bangor Co Down is selling forbidden products from Occupied Palestinian lands, I went in today but couldn’t find anything. Could the Zionists Jews or even Asda be labelling them wrong so we can’t do this?

  16. What a load of ignorant morons you all are!!!
The only reason you didn’t read the piece from Paulo is because you don’t UNDERSTAND it and probably can’t read
anyway . You all must know that you are wasting your time as you haven’t a hope in hell of winning this war and boycott Israel if you must as it isn’t going to make the slightest bit of difference to anything
    Happy shopping !!!!

    1. It’s not even about making a difference – it’s about an individual doing anything to stop themselves feeling powerless against something they truly are powerless to stop.

I read every word of Paulo’s post. Turning things off is closing the door once the horse has bolted – and not buying anything that has had an Israeli hand in development is ridiculous. Most of his (your) list would be impossible to stop due to the way society has been engineered to work. We are powerless to stop using most of those things.

However, where produce is concerned, we have that choice and we have that power – just because we are powerless in other ways, does not mean we should not use the power where we have it.

And the power, even if everyone in Britain used it, would not be powerful enough to stop one bomb from falling.

But that’s not the point, is it? The point is we feel powerless, and using what little power we have will stop this shite from driving us insane with grief and terror.

  17. Hey
We could do with Boycott Israel Stickers. Stick them on shop windows and in cars and where ever they can have some effect.

Thanks boycottisrael.org.uk for your efforts and initiative

  18. Ignorant bunch of idiots going around shops… , this made me so laugh I nearly fell of my bed, so entertaining. If you only knew that by boycotting you are killing the only source of income the palestinians have ! And on top they got from Israel to setup their own farms and then to be destroyed by hamas because it was israeli funded. I saw it with my own eyes. Its was sad to see and the above even more sad.

  19. The only thing wrong with Paulo’s post was that it was too long. The content however is spot on. You can’t pick and choose what to boycott to suit your own needs – that is completely self serving and goes against the principle of a true boycott. So, you shouldn’t be using your, PC, your mobile phones and many many life saving drugs. (Even the Hamas leadership take their families to Israeli hospitals for treatment – look it up). And while you’re at it, if any of your elderly relatives have a pacemaker you should remove itimmediately so as not support Israel.

    1. Don’t listen to anyone that thinks boycotting does not work, just look at the shares of most major Israeli companies. It is consistently going down for the past month, in short it works 100%.

As for people like Paulo, they make me laugh. This is because they all want everyone to think that Israel who is a tiny peace of shit land is behind designing the world, it’s all bullshit.

For example, they will tell you that Intel chips are made there, so disconnect your PC. What they don’t tell you is that only SOME of the chips are made there and only 40% of profits go to Israel, secondly we all still have the AMD chip. See? You do not need to boycott your life to boycott Israel. Be smarter and continue the boycotting. We’ll done all 😉

  20. Boycott is the only action anyone can take in the hope of making a difference and to stop Israel killing children in Gaza.
If enough people boycott Israel products it will make a difference- proved by what happened when the world boycotted South African products.

  21. Remember: You don’t need to boycott everything. We’re doing this to hurt Israel’s economy, not just to make a point. If we all boycott just a few things, we can make a difference.

Ignore the moronic paid IDF shills, boycott when you can, shrug when you can’t.

  22. Great Ideas – ignore the “Netanyahu Drone” what a diatribe, I hope he didnt forget to include Sodastream although of course that was actually originally British.

As a Brit of course I must apologise as we created the bloody mess in the first place – I believe we justified the land grab in the 1940s as “an attempt to civilise the Palestinians” – shameful but thats the rhetoric of the day.

Land grabs never work – just look at another of our efforts “Northern Ireland” – problem is after a couple of generations the morality gets horribly mixed as you have people who were born on the soil as so of course you end up with complex messes like this one.

1940’s boundaries re-installed for Israel, clear out of the illegal settlements and hopefully then peace with the Palestinians who may not like what they see as a continued occupation of their lands but just like Northern Ireland we simply cannot just throw out the newcomers – we have to find a way forwards for all parties.

HARD HARD sanctions / boycotts on Israel until they comply – we must not let it rest this time we need to see this through now just as with South Africa ( OMG another land grab – this time my lot and the Dutch ) when the hell are we ever going to learn – why is my country responsible for all the land-grab moral quagmires of the modern world. The USA must start to act according to its stated morality although as the biggest land grab they risk be called out on this one as well.

    1. I am not a muslim
    2. I am not an anti-semite.
    3. I question the way Israel was set up and the way it was aggressively expanded.

In the eyes of many point 3 means I must be lying about 1 and 2 but we have to stop running scared of that one otherwise the propandists win. Stop letting Israelis hide behind the anti-semite trick – there are anti-semites and some will join campaigns like this one but they will be the minority – we must not allow nasty lables hold us back from saying what must be said.

  23. The supporters of the occupation on this site seem to be missing the point. Of course we all know that Israel, thanks to the massive support and investment it receives from the US and Europe produces a vast array of products. It is almost impossible to identify and boycott all of these. Boycotting a few food items is just a symbolic gesture as it was in the 1980’s with South Africa. Actually supermarkets have a high profile in this county, boycotts do attract attention, raise awareness and build momentum. so lets keep up the good work.
Also I’m baffled why Israeli’s are even posting on this site given they think the boycott is such a waste of time. Why bother?

  24. BEWARE supermarkets are hiding the fact brand own products are from Israel. They are now labelling Israeli goods as Various Countries or Packed in the UK

  25. Why be so secretive? Instead of just leaving the basket, why not take it to the till and tell the teller that the produce should be confiscated and ask for the manager. This will disrupt the shop and make your point.

  26. Israelis don’t realise that we don’t care if they’ve developed something. We paid for that and they (Israelis) worked for us. But we are definitely not going to buy their products.

So develop away, good for us.

Also, we get to pick and choose. If you stop developing, you think those R&D centres can’t be moved to India, where even the street sweeper knows programming, or Japan or China or anywhere else? The East Asians in particular have the highest IQ on average in the world. Nothing special about Israelis. They just have more opportunities.

If anything, the Israelis should be grateful that they get the chance to work in R&D and get funded to develop all this stuff.

    No worker is irreplaceable.

PS All my tech is Japanese or Korean.

  27. I am increasingly disappointed by these kind of sites and of the people writing on them. Reading the threads it seems that you are all very happy having one side of the story and completely believing it.I am Pro-Israel but am not so ignorant to believe there is not 2 sides to a story.

I have taken the time to look at both sides before commenting. When Israel pulled out of Gaza 9 years ago there left a country with infrastructure, green houses and the ability to grow their own food. They received millions of pounds/dollars in aid from around the world, but instead of expanding on this, they removed the buildings and built tunnels and rockets.

the money spent on these tunnels and rockets could have built schools, hospitals and housing for the population. But the government mis-appropriated it and used it to destroy Israel. In terms of defense, instead of funding terrorists to fire and build rockets (in recent weeks) they could have built shelters for their dis-homed citizens, but again didn’t.

Why can’t Israel defend itself. it is the only country in the world where Jews are accepted for who they are. They have neighbors who have a political mandate to destroy them and remove them from the planet.

Before Hamas came into power the Jews and the Palestinians lived side by side peacefully, they worked together and lived together. as soon as this extremist organisation became involved it became impossible for this to happen.

I also understand that Israel should not be in the West Bank, i do not understand their need to be building settlements there and believe they should pull out and give the land back.

Boycotting Israel and the messages of some of these people to hurt Israel is disgusting. Israel also has a right to exist and to produce goods and services.

I know it has been said before but how would the UK react if the Irish started firing rockets at out cities.

If you want to boycott Israel the that is your choice, but make sure you know the full story and that you are not just jumping on a propaganda bandwagon. the world knows what happened last time that happened!

    1. UK didn’t bomb the shit hospitals in Ireland in retaliation to IRA actions, so your point is moot. Collective punishment is illegal under international law and this is exactly what Israel is doing. Israel has engaged in violence against Palestinians way before the inception of Hamas, in fact Israel has armed and supported Hamas at the start because Hamas opposed PLO.
I’m glad you disagree with West Bank settlements, but nothing is done to stop this expansion, and Israel is not interested in dismantling a single settlement. Not only that, but settlers are absolutely hateful against Palestinians.

    2. Israel has a righ to defend itself??? Israel is an illegal country created by Zionists. The United Nations (UN) is paralysed to take any action as its Headquarters are in New York, USA (home to the Zionist Lobby Movement).

Orthdox Jews are speaking out against Zionism, just google it. Orthdox Jews are speaking out against Zionism (the Torah itself forbids Jews to have their own country.) Look it up!!! if you don;t believe it!

Anyway, I’m not anti semitic, The powerful media +

  28. Please add Philips to your list, I’ve just discovered my Philips Lumea is made in Israel, but it’s not on any of the boycott lists.

  29. stop building settlements, go back to the 67 borders, accept and comply with the UN resolutions (not just the ones you accept) and maybe you will have peace. I am neither muslim or anti semitic, I am just a concerned human being who would like to see an end to all this horror. When the IRA were bombing London the RAF didnt flatten whole swathes of Londonderry and Belfast. When Germany bombed London did it weaken or strengthen the British resolve – say no more

  30. I have heard all the arguments from all sides for over forty years now but the point is that presently the Israeli government is killing children and disregards them as collateral damage in its fight against Hamas, despite having the best anti missile defence system in the world and limitless funding from the USA. Western governments are doing nothing to stop this bullying by a government that they tacitly support (despite its own terrorist past). The only choice that ordinary people are left with is to make sure we do nothing to support this repugnant regime and to that end we must do everything we can to avoid buying any product that originates from Israel until it stops its policy of indiscriminate killing.

  31. BBC has removed Jeremy Bowen from Gaza, its most experienced Middle East correspondent for saying “He had not seen any evidence of Hamas using civilians as human shields”. Israel complained to the BBC and said that this was pro-Hamas and BBC immediately pulled him out of Gaza……

  32. What side of story is there to look at? 2000 Palestinians have lost their lives compared to how many in Israelis?
I am South African and words cannot begin to express my appreciation for people who chose to buy a tasteless American wine (ie) over the grandest South African one during Apartheid era. Let the boycott continue. P.s some avocadoes in Asda are from Israel. Look out.I’ve also decided I’m not buying produce that are not properly labeled. Check mate!

    1. Would you regard Hamas militants holding children whilst they fire at Israelis civilians? You support child murderers?

  33. WOW you know you must have hit a nerve and are saying something powerful and meaningful when the ‘Hasbara’ pro-Israeli trolls are out in force on the comment section!!

Well done on this article, we must RESIST all attempts to normalise the occupation, seige and humiliation of Palestinian people and their land.

  34. Love the Boycott…..keep going people and tell all your family and friends, spread the word on Facebook (YES we can use israeli platforms to criticise them!) and Twitter.

After all, they are nothing but Child killers.

  35. No I won’t! A lot of emotive l language about this conflict. Why won’t people listen to both sides? Because Muslims are the ones who have the loudest voices.

    1. if they had the loudest voices they would be effectively lobbying governments around the world to intervene and stop the slaughter in Gaza… Evidently this isn’t the case & children are still being killed in their schools, homes, playgrounds, beaches.

Is this language too emotive for you??? Can you not handle the truth??? Maybe stick with BBC news, that’ll help you feel better about doing nothing whilst children due in their hundreds or are made disabled for life.

I would link to horrific pictures of Gaza suffering with dismembered bodies and adults or babies with limbs blown off – but I hope my words are enough.

I doubt you could match this with pictures of Israelis sitting in their bomb proof bunkers with high speed Internet trolling every forum imaginable.

      1. Yes children are being killed but that thanks to Hammas. Their strategy, which is widely known to the whole arab world, is to put their women and children in harms way so if they get killed or injured they will use it as propaganda internationally for fools like you to listen to. Why do you think Egypt has closed their borders to the Palestinians? Why aren’t any of the other arab countries helping them in the slightest? Why are arabs always at war with each other? Have you ever heard of a Jewish terrorist? Wake up man and stop being so gullible!!

  36. Dear Mr cut & paste and others that think by collective individual action does not change anything I (and history) begsto differ. I watched an excellent BBC documentry called Five Steps to Tyranny. The Guardian gave a very good write up about it.
It says that if individuals ask themselves if their actions are harming others, even if their part in what maybe a bigger issue seems insignificant, may of the atrocities of the past may not of gained so much pace or ever happened. We are very lucky to live in a county that allows us to make our voices heard without fear of personal state reprisals.
Stand up for what is right now and you won’t look back in years to come and think “Could I of made a difference” because it would be to late to know.
Write to your MP, ask the supermarkets to stop supporting a country that is commiting warcrimes & breaking international law. Stand up and shout with one voice.

  37. Tesco is a Jewish company founded by the Cohan brothers. It employs thousands of Muslims and stocks Halal products but because it stocks a few lines of produce grown in Israel (possibly grown by Arab farmers) it’s the devil? Maybe supermarkets should sack all Muslim workers and stop selling Halal because of ISIS? This is just silly. If you were ethical at all you wouldn’t set foot in a supermarket. Asda is owned by Walmart, need I say more?

  38. Boycott is great, top going to tesco, aldo, lidl, asda…..go to the local farmer market only. BDS is such a genius damn all Jewish technology, science, pharma, IT.

Hamas’s big bro ISIS loves you all.

PRO-Israel Brits and Asians support Israel buy, write, ask, demand Shops.

  39. Just remember to tell ISIS that you are Christian but boycotted Israel when they come for you….they might use a blunter knife to hack off your head!

  40. Get a life you bunch of sad people .Hypocrites with nothing better to do .
Better still get a job and a wash .
Or even better ban all foods linked to islamic countries .
These countries are by far the greatest source of conflict and death .

  41. sad, typical muslims, i am going to start buying more israeli goods now.
just hate filled racist people, so why is it muslims have a problem wherever they are, who started the problems in israel after partition, muslims tried to take over and got beaten.
palestinians are pathethic, hamas storing/ shooting rockets near schools hospitals so when israelis try to defend themselves and children get killed they can play the sympathy vote. pathetic

  42. Israel has no problem you boycotting their goods as it will make no difference whatsoever to their economy. I also have no problem you boycotting Israel food at supermarkets etc. – however f you are serious about this, then please make sure you also stop buying computers, laptops – both Windows and Apple, and cell phones… and throw all yours away, as all these have Israeli technology within them. Thank you.

  43. Can I also say… this is a great website, and I will be telling all my Israel, Jewish and Christian friends. I’ll even tell my Arab friends who support Israel. Why? Well you have a wonderful list of what food etc we CAN buy… and it’s all from Israel. Fantastic. Well done :)

  45. What I recently did in my local Tesco was stick post it notes with the words ” Produce of Israel-BOYCOTT. Remember the children of Gaza” on any product I came across. I also strategically place the post it near the price or somewhere I know people will be drawn to look at.

    1. How dare you go anywhere near Kosher food products with your dirty Jew-hatred Haram-hand. You are unclean. Stay away from contaminating our food with your rotten Nazi-ideology.
That is how the beginning of the Jewish holocaust began with people just like you. People were ordered by Nazi Germany to stop buying merchandise from Jewish owned shops. How dare you tell people what they should or not purchase.

  46. Why don’t all you wannabe boycotters visit Israel and see for yourselves Arabs, Jews, Christians, Druz etc all living in harmony. Go see the hundreds of mosques scattered throughout the country with freedom to worship anywhere. Go visit the only democratic country in the whole of the Middle East. Whatever land has been given up by Israel has been turned into rocket launchers to constantly bombard the Israeli people everyday. This money should have been used for the Palestinian people for houses, hospitals and schools. Instead Hamas have used the funding completely for themselves and use the Palestinians as pawns to incite hatred against Israel just as it has incited hatred in all of you! There are mosques all over Israel. I dread to think what would happen to just one synagogue in Gaza just now! Israel evacuated Gaza and look at how it is now being governed. Hamas are worse than the mafia. One wrong word and you are found dead with your throat slit or publicly stoned with your body parts hung in the streets on hooks as an example to all. Before you condemn Israel go judge for yourselves and you will see how wrong you have been just through sheer ignorance. The Israelis and the majority of Palestinians want peace. Hamas, Fatah, ISIS and all the other extremist movements DON’T. they want Israel wiped off the face of the earth and you will probably say ‘good riddance’ but if extreme Islamists take over the Western world (as they would wish) and life for all of us changes for the worse remember your hatred of Israel a tiny little country who just wanted to be left alone to live in peace

  47. Got to say if I see anyone doing this I’ll follow them and when they put the basket down I’ll pick it up and buy all the lovely Israeli produced products for myself.
But seriously get a life I’ll shop where I want and this hatred for Israelis from scum like yourselves and George Galloway us a disgrace Hamas are the instorgators in all this.
Like when a younger sibling is poking you to get a reaction eventually you’ll react then they run off crying and play the victim card. Educate yourselves before condemning Isreal

  48. My family is boycotting Israeli and occupied territory produce and it is both morally and personally fulfilling knowing you are in a small way helping occupied people by reducing the revenue their occupiers are receiving. If there is less financial gain maybe it will weaken the occupiers and in turn give some hope to prisoners of these illegal settlements. The knowledge if there being international solidarity with Palestinian people may make international governments sit up and take notice of the injustices taking place now and from before and start doing something about it.

On a personal level we are saving a lot more and eating better shopping from locally sourced markets. We are helping our own suppliers and producers so local and regional purchasing power is improving. Instead of lining the pockets of international companies. We are even switching to organic farming growing in our own back yards. It truely makes a difference when you are preparing meals you have made from your own labour and know where it has been and what had been put in/on it. Rather than the ??? Surrounding packaged goods.

So yes we are enjoying not eating produce that might be soaked in the blood of innocent civilians who are denied the basic right to live as free people without being occupied by others, freedom of movement, self determination and governance to name but a few. We are in the twenty first century but still helpless against colonisation and racism.

  49. Yes Israeli fresh products are wonderfull and high quelity products – that’s why almos all Europe buy them – They are great – See you next year in Jerusalem

    : – )

  50. Why dont you wear jeans? They were invented by a jewish guy named Levy Shtrauss? Stop using remote controls, discon keys and hondreds more inventions that where invented by Jews.
Lets boycot them all and lets go back to the stone age. Would that be enough for you guys?
Palestinians are good people but their leaders dont want a solution – they only want to keep on the strugle so they can get more millions to their rich bank accounts in Swiss…

Yaser Arafat could get a Palestinian State, he recieved the nobel price but continue to support teror. They dont want to live with us – they want to live instead of us and alone
    without Israel – That’s all

“They could have a Palestinian state a long time ago”
    Bill Clinton

  51. Isreal is a terrorist state and Americas unlegitimate child no body wanted her that’s why all these murderous low lifes were placed in a land that they did not belong to them thats why it gets away with evey evil act that it does they should hand back every inch of land and get out. Anyone who sympathetic towards such an evil state is an insult to the human race. Keep up the good work boycott every Isreali good itd nice to know that there are still a few good souls who speak up and take action against such an evil oppressive state.

  52. What about a boycott of Syrian goods? Surely Syria is killing hundreds of thousands of innocents and action should be taken?

  53. Why do people think that any Israeli product already purchased should not be used by those boycotting Israeli produce? Or products that are not Israeli but came about because of Israeli r&d should not be bought?
The whole point of a boycott is surely to impact the profits from sales that go to Israeli companies and thus encourage these companies to lobby their government to behave differently.
Throwing your old computer in the bin isn’t going to help. Am I missing something here?

  54. This is like the blood thirsty Sharia law!! since when am I going to boycott Israel, when they are the ONLY ones in the Middle East that can stand against ISIS. Sorry you guys have seriously got in wrong.

  55. Nice to know where I can buy Israeli goods. I like to stock up on as many as possible to support the only democracy in the Middle East. The only ME country not stoning women, committing infanticide of female newborns, throwing gay men off buildings and brutally killing even boiling dogs alive.

Oh, and by the way – all you so called ‘I’m not anti-Semitic, only anti-Zionists here… news flash for you. We see right through you. You’re just like the Nazis – boycotting Jewish goods, shops, institutions, people. You’re all mealy-mouthed excuses for good old Jew-haters, hiding behind the convenience of the word ‘Zionism.’ Which basically means, for those who don’t know, the return of the Jewish people to their original homeland. Yup – Jews – most Zionists are Jews.

At least have the guts to be honest. We all know what you are!

  56. Likewise Lynn. I just found this site while looking for a list of products these lefty Nazi’s want us to boycott.
Who do they think they are.
Looks like they produce wine in the west bank, so I’ll give that a go.
These lazy leftys don’t spend money anyway, well, I do, and know what I’ll be requesting from my Supermarket.

  57. I support Israel and will be buying Israeli goods. Tanks for highlighting it. As for our taxes and EU membership at least it amounted to something, even if it is only labels.

  58. Israel is god choosen people when moses brought them out of slavery to the promised land, if you,s dare read your bible you would no this, plus it says in bible in ends time people with turn on Israel put god with come again them people that do, the media what you to think that israel kills children it is ISA who line the children up behind the rockets so when israel defender thereself the children are caught in crossfire i have seen this support ISRAEL GODS people

  59. There are lots of Palestinians working in these agricultural operations, enjoying Israeli minimum wage – about twice what they’d make elsewhere in the Palestinian Territories.

Just something to keep in mind.

I hope that you’re also boycotting all Chinese (Tibet) and Moroccan (Western Sahara) goods. Hopefully Russian (Crimea) ones too. Else you might be… an anti-semite?

  60. Hey, so glad I found this site – now I have a better idea where I can go and find my lovely Israeli fruit and veg more easily. I always look out for them, of course.

Gil, I do so agree with you about the ‘I’m not anti-Semitic, only anti-Zionists’ mob. They may be able to lie convincingly to themselves, but most of us see right through them.
